Burton Latimer based Weetabix Food Company is this week celebrating 10 years of its apprenticeship scheme for young people.
Stuart Branch, HR Director at Weetabix said, “People are at the heart of our business. Our apprenticeships provide real-world, hands-on experience combined with industry-recognised qualifications and support from the brilliant Weetabix team to help you succeed.”
Over the past 10 years Weetabix has recruited and trained more than 40 apprentices. The apprentices have worked across the business, including in the engineering, manufacturing, cyber security, Health & Safety, and human resources departments and many have continued into full-time employment.
Katie Skellett who graduated from the Weetabix apprenticeship programme in 2024 and works in the Supply Planning team said, “The best thing about working at Weetabix is how supportive the people are. Everyone is so willing to share their knowledge, especially in areas like food manufacturing, which makes it a great environment for learning.”
